My son was only 5 years old in this photo and my daughter was 22 months old. But even at this young age, our son still looked out for the safety of his little sister. What I love about this photo is my son's hand resting protectively on his little sister. I can imagine a similar scene when my children are in their teen years and my son will still be looking out for his little sister's best interests.
I received a blog award from Leedra at Photography by Leedra.
Thanks so much Leedra! Now, I have decided to pass this blog award on to some wonderful CDP blogs which have posted some beautiful Autumn photos. Enjoy!
And the award goes to . . .

Big bros are the best!
Many thanks for the award, Hope!
I just happened to be driving by St. Paul's yesterday when I saw all the pumpkins and knew I had to stop for a photo. I will pass this award along in the autumn days to come.
Wow, thanks Hope for the 'Fabulous Fall' award!! I only wish autumn would last as long as winter does.
Thanks so much for the award, Hope!! I'm truly flattered!!
Your photo today is so special. These are the moments you live for when they are squabbling, aren't they? ;-)
Thanks Hope - autumn is so wonderful, I look forward to it each year, even more than planning my garden.
