Knoxville Daily Photo will post one photo per day taken from the Knoxville/Knox County, Tennessee area. Knoxville is the city of my birth, the place where I work, and the largest city near our hometown. It's a wonderful community in which to raise our family. It's really a beautiful place . . . . at least I think so.

I am not a professional photographer; I call myself a point & shoot photographer. I have had a genuine love for and interest in photography since childhood. My camera is a Nikon Coolpix S600 ~ which I love for many reasons that I won't list here. Sometimes I use my old camera which is a Nikon Coolpix 5900.

Photography is something that I enjoy immensely. My photographs & albums are treasured above all other material things I own. The memories that are captured and preserved through my camera are so precious.

I am glad that I have discovered City Daily Photo and started a photo blog. It's an honor to share my little corner of the world with those who find themselves here. Enjoy looking around my blog, and welcome to all who visit.

G is for Gus's Restaurant

G is for Gus's Restaurant and Good eats! Gus's Restaurant is located on Market Square in downtown Knoxville.

I just discovered Mrs. Nesbitt's website and her ABC Wednesday Blog a few moments ago by stumbling upon it through another City Daily Photo blog. When I realized that today's letter is G and that I had already posted on Gus's Restaurant only just 30 minutes ago....well, I thought that's just a little too coincidental for me. So I decided to join in on the fun.

I'm not sure I've set up everything in the right manner. I'm kinda new to these things only having participated in SkyWatch Friday a few times. It's always fun to learn something new and participate in new projects!

For others' contributions to ABC Wednesday visit here.

I must find some good Southern B-B-Q. I like the 's' in Gus's and the blue folding chair in the front. We have really good pulled pork at a Roadhouse restaurant in Long Beach.

The selection of outdoor seating chairs is charming. Looks like somebody's house.

For some reason I can't see your photos...did you change your blog?

Yesterday my photos were all gone, I thought someone hacked the site, but then today all of my blogs and photos were back. Not sure if it's my computer or what.

My photos have been appearing and disappearing randomly the last couple of days. It concerns me, too!

Hope of Knoxville Daily Photo. Hope can squeeze images out of her Nikon Coolpix that will astonish you. The photographs of her kids capture the essence of childhood and a mother's love with the same poignancy and joy of the paintings of Mary Cassatt..."
